Coffee Shops

Le Butterblume

Located on St-Laurent street right after the intersection with St-Aviateur and just before arriving to Little Italy, this beautiful restaurant is one of the best brunch spots in Montreal.

The decor is very minimalistic but beautiful at the same time, the space is pretty open and the lights are wonderfully distributed. Right at the entrance there is a counter where you can get your coffee to go along with some pastries that looked delicious by the way. While you wait for your coffee take a look at the mini boutique which is really cute.

On this occasion we were craving for a nice little brunch like every other Saturday morning.  We took a seat on the cute little tables almost at the end of the hall, which was great because we got the whole view of the restaurant.

My girlfriend had the house made granola with yogurt, dried fruits, kumquats, puffed quinoa & maple syrup which was crunchy and delicious. And for myself, I tried the  famous ”hot chicken”,  served with poppy seed toast, slow cooked egg, peas & the classic gravy. We shared also, a sourdough bread which was amazing, served with honey, orange & sea salt butter. I almost forgot one of the most important things about this place, the coffee was awesome and served in a nice little white glass that makes it even better.

We pretty much loved everything about this restaurant, overall a great experience!!

Brunch is served from Friday through Sunday starting at 10AM.
