Bon Vivant Restaurant Reviews

The best restaurant in Bromont

The view
After doing the Wine Route in Dunham, we needed to eat something before coming back to Montreal so we headed back to Bromont for dinner. As I am a big fan of Jérôme Ferrer, I really wanted to try his new restaurant called Le Cellier du Roi. This restaurant recently opened (April 2015) and is located in the golf Royal Bromont in Bromont. We had a romantic setting with a table facing the golf with the mountains on the back; a breathtaking scenery in autumn.

We were quickly served some amuse bouches, my favorite being a smoke plum warped in bacon served in a smoking book. As appetizers, we had a salad with a goat cheese croquette and a excellent dish with regional mushrooms in a creamy sauce. Then we took the homemade gnocchi with blue cheese and pine nuts, and the lobster mac and cheese. After desert, we were then overwhelmed with some macaroons, marshmallows, candyfloss, meringue, cookies, etc.

The restaurant also has a good wine selection and prices are reasonable given the quality of the meal (the signature menu is around 50$ and the table d’hôte is 30$). The atmosphere is cozy and is a great location for a family gathering or a wedding.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in the Eastern Townships!
