The Dominican Adventure

During the holidays we had the opportunity to visit Punta Cana, after a busy 2016 we needed to take some time off, get some quality time with the family and Punta Cana turned out to be just the medicine needed to revitalise, refresh, and regain some perspective for 2017.

Punta Cana which is located in the Dominican Republic is the land of rest and relaxation and is one of the most visited destinations in the world.

Punta Cana has some of the most beautiful beaches in the entire Caribbean. Coconut trees which extend to the sea, clean white sand beaches, and let’s not forget the warm and beautiful turquoise sea as far as the eye can see.  This is why several beaches in this region are ranked as among the world’s best.

On this occasion we stayed in the Bavaro Beach area which is one of the most developed beach sections, basically where all the big brand hotels are located.  Bavaro  beach remains a striking palm-lined stretch despite the hotels, restaurants and gift shops occupying it.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to discover lots of things because we were only for 7 days over there and also because the main purpose of our trip was really to relax and work on our tan. There are activities for all ages, from kayaking to parasailing  Punta Cana has everything to offer.

I truly recommend to visit Punta Cana mainly because  dominicans  are so nice, warm and welcoming that they make you feel like home.

Special thanks to the staff at Ibero Star Grand Hotel Bavaro for their great service and hospitality.

Here are some pictures that represent pretty well our wonderful stay.
