La Habanera

Looking for a place to grab lunch or dinner downtown, this place is perfect for you. La Habanera is a small new Cuban restaurant by Yann Levy, together with partners Moti Meslati and Yossi Ohana. And it’s in the same familiy as the Japanese Biiru, the Mexican Escondite and the Hawaiian Koa Lua (article to be coming on this place in upcoming days).

I went with a friend to this place a couple of weeks ago already on a Tuesday night and we had to sit at the bar as the place was full. It is indeed a small restaurant (probably 30 places), but it’s not surprise that it’s always full! It feels just as if you were in Cuba! The drinks are particularly amazing and the food is on point. You can fins ceviches, salads, tortillas, tacos, etc. Everything is fresh and transports you in a vacation mood.

The restaurant in on Union Street next to 2 of its brothers, just perfect for the crowd working downtown. Just by the sign in front (all you need is love & mojitos), you know you’re going to have a good time!
