Venice Montreal

Even though I adore going to restaurants and have a fancy meals, sometimes you are just looking for a quick and healthy bite. And I feel there are not so many options to do so, but we have recently seen a new trend in Montreal; the popularity of the Poke Bowls. Some would say it’s like a big sushi in a bowl, but whatever you call it, I could literally eat Poke Bowls all day long… And the best ones in town can be found at the Venice, in the old Port.

Venice opened a few months ago on Saint-Francois-Xavier and the decor reminds me of a small restaurant that you can find near the beach in California, with surfboards on the walls and a great “chill” vibe. The place is crowded every night of the week and does not take reservations, so you might have to wait a couple of minutes if you get there at peak hour. However, it is worth the wait.

Apart from the Poke Bowls, you can also find some smoothies, salads, soups, tacos and “tartines”. Everything is fresh and healthy, and so, it is clearly a good addition for the Old Montreal. You should also follow their Instagram account as you will instantly feel on vacation, sitting in the sand and drinking a smoothie!

Honestly, if you visit the place on a week night, you could easily find me there, eating a Poke Bowl! High five to this new healthy place!
