What to do in Mont-Tremblant in 1 day

Every year during the summer we  spend at least a week-end in Tremblant to relax and get away from the city. This time it was a bit different, with all the wedding preparations we were a kind of busy and we decided to go to Tremblant only for one day.

Here is the perfect couple’s guide on what to do in Tremblant during the summer in only 1 day:

Avoid traffic and head to Mont Tremblant early in the morning, this will give you a chance to enjoy the whole day in this beautiful place. From downton Montreal to Mont-Tremblant village expect about one hour and a half minute drive.

Where to park:

Park your car for free near the village and start your day by gettting your work out done.

What to do:

Get your early morning work out done and climb up one of the highest peaks in the Laurentiants. There are up to  11 trails ranging from 1 km to 10 km for all levels.  Mont Tremblant trails offer open and shaded areas, lots of nature and spectacular views at every turn. If you are lucky enough, you could even  meet a few deers along the way.

Pick one of the trails that fits the best with your hiking skills, on this occasion we chose one of the green trails (CAPS) about 4km long,  which took us like 1h30 to climb.  You can access the CAPS trail via Ruisseaux trail.  Climb all the way to the top and enjoy the spectacular view.

If you are tired once you hit the summit,  you can buy a return trip via the panoramic gondola for only 7$ per person from the summit  to the base.

Once you are back in the pedestrian village,  grab a salad and a juice of your choice at Fluide Juice Bar, great alternative for post-workout meal.

After lunch, stroll around the boutiques and head to  the beach of Lac Tremblant. The entrance is 17$ plus taxes per adult.  Spend the day at the sandy beach, work on your tan and relax while having a local beer or a tropical drink.

Where to eat:

Make reservation at Quintessence hotel for dinner  and ask to for a table with a view, trust me you won’t regret it. A lot of people think that only guests can eat or grab a drink here.

This is by far the best restaurant  in Mont Tremblant, the service is great, the food is incredible and the view is breathtaking. This is one of the few places that is situated on the lake that offers a lovely lake view,  a pretty large terrace overlooking the lake and a gorgeous dining room.

On this occasion we ordered 4 different appetizers and a bottle of  red wine, we tried 2 of their signature dishes that you must try, the Duck Poutine and also the lobster bisque which were amazing.  We tried also the grilled octopus with tomatos and chorizo which was very tender and the classic beef tartare with  dried tomatoes and parmesan.

If you want to save some money, you can simply grab a drink at the terrasse and enjoy the view.
